Tri- Mania
An exceptional turnout this year for the Tri- Mania relays. In the morning, Emily L., Matt, Shane, and Sam ran a 4x 1600. Then Shane, Emily M., Andrew, and Hannah swam a 4x 200yd. Finally, Alex, Amelia, Andrea, and Emmit each biked a 10k on trainers. The team did well and enjoyed a lot of free swag!
Amherst Half Marathon
An offseason event for the team as four of our members participated in this year's Amherst Half Marathon! Shawn, Andrea, Amelia, and Emily ran 13.1 miles on a beautiful day. Congrats to Emily for winning the 15-19 age group! Shoutout to coach Ryan Davis for also winning his age group.

The rest of the team had a fun day volunteering as course monitors and at the water and "low-budget gatorade" (Nuun sports drink) station helping out the athletes!
Westchester
We headed out to Westchester for the final race of the season - the NECTC conference championship! The athletes were Alex, Alden, Andrea, Shane, and Francesco. Alex once again had a great 3rd place finish, and Francesco competed in his first Olympic triathlon!
Buzzards Bay
We had 6 team members at Buzzards Bay: Hannah, Amelia, Alex, Francesco, Shane, and Maya! Alex had a great result, winning the Collegiate division and placing 2nd overall. Hannah and Maya both competed in their first ever triathlons, and Amelia competed in her first for UMass! Former president Jackie came along to be the team mom.
Lobsterman
Alex and Shane went up to Maine to race in the Lobsterman Olympic triathlon! Alex once again had a great result with a 3rd place in the collegiate division!
Lake George
Alex and Andrea headed out to Lake George, where Andrea competed in the Olympic (her first tri for UMass) and Alex competed in both the Olympic and the Half-Ironman. Andrea placed 9th in the female collegiate division with a 2:41:09. Alex placed 3rd collegiate in both the Olympic and the Half-Ironman, but was 1st in the "King George" combined classification for both races!
